Important Travel Update near Dowtys: Down Hatherley Lane Closure 

Down Hatherley Lane will be closed until 6^th March 2026. This affects those travelling from the A38 (Twigworth direction) to Dowtys Sports and Social Club,

Alternative routes are available – please check your navigation prior to starting your journey and allow extra travel time if necessary to ensure you do not arrive late for training. 

Those travelling from the B4063 Cheltenham Road East, Churchdown, remain unaffected.

Oliver McGowan Tier 2 Training

In line with national requirements, Oliver McGowan Mandatory Tier 2 training has be added to all clinical colleagues' Care to Learn profiles as an 'Essential for role' requirement.

The Tier 2 training consists of an eLearning programme followed by a day's face-to-face training, which is required to be renewed every three years. The course is available on Care to Learn, with places in sessions up until June 2026.

To reduce the impact on both individual and team compliance, we have transferred colleagues' Oliver McGowan Tier 1 completions. Therefore, if you have completed the Tier 1 course in 2024 or 2025 you will have until this expires before needing to complete the Tier 2 training.
